You can add tracking phone numbers to your properties using the Tracking Phone Numbers page.
A. Performance AI ➡️ Settings ➡️ Attribution Settings ➡️ Tracking Phone Numbers.
B. This will open the Tracking Phone Number page where you can:
a. Search for the property for which you want to add the tracking phone number.
b. Select a property from the list and click on it.
Tracking phone numbers are designed to monitor where calls are coming from, whenever a call comes from a specific source the phone number is noted.
C. On clicking on the property page, you're taken to a page with the list of sources and tracking
phone numbers:
a. You can search for a specific source or tag for which you want to add a tracking
phone number.
b. You can select the specific source or tag from the table.
c. After that, click on the Edit button on the far right.
D. Once you click the Edit button, where you can:
a. Select whether you want a custom phone number to track and record calls or if you
already have a phone number. If you want a new number, it will cost you $20/month.
b. The tracking phone number displayed on your website will be listed here. If you have
a number already, you can add it here too.
c. The forwarding phone number where the call is forwarded to when someone calls
the tracking phone number.
d. You can choose to add Dynamic Number Insertion to your tracking phone numbers
or not.
e. You can cancel the addition or editing of the tracking phone number by using the
CANCEL button.
f. You can save the tracking phone number by using the SAVE button.
Dynamic Number Insertion (DNI) changes the phone number displayed on a website based on how the visitor arrived at the site. When a user visits the website, the DNI system identifies the source of the traffic and inserts the corresponding phone number into the website.
