Sometimes, your contacts may use multiple email addresses or phone numbers to communicate. In such cases, there are chances to generate duplicate contacts in CRM. In Journey AI CRM, you can find and merge such duplicate contacts.
Following are the step-by-step instructions to make a call from CRM.
a. Log in to https://accounts.hyly.app and navigate to the CRM app.
b. Search for the contact and select the contact to go to the contact card.
c. Locate one of the duplicated contacts and click Merge Duplicates found in the three-dot drop-down in the top right of the screen.
d. The system will automatically pull additional contacts that seem duplicate to the contact you've selected based on phone numbers or email addresses on the Find Duplicate page.
e. If like contacts are not displayed, click search here to search for additional duplicates.
f. Once you find the duplicate contacts, select and click Next.
g. After all duplicates are found, select each duplicate and click Next.
h. In the Merge Contacts page, select the primary contact info and preview your changes to the right.
i. Finally, click Merge, and a confirmation window will appear. Click Merge again to confirm your action.
j. The newly merged contact will appear in your Contact List, the other contacts will be achieved, and their information will be stored.
- Any subscriptions will be active. This means if a contact has an unsubscribed email address and one that is subscribed, the merged contact will adopt the subscribed status.
- All activities, i.e., calling logs, tours, appointments, etc., are merged with the single contact and can be viewed in the activity stream.
