How do I import contacts in Hyly?

If you have a list of contacts (The contact list file should be in CSV format), you can import it into Hyly.
Following are the step-by-step instructions for the same.

a. Upload File Format:
  • The contact list should be in CSV format. The system will not accept any other file format other than CSV format.
  • The CSV file size must be smaller than 10MB.
  • CSV File should contain at least three fields: First Name, Last Name, and Email. It may contain n number of fields. You need to map them to respective Hyly fields.
  • The first row and first column should not be empty, or the system will be unable to identify the data and show an error.
  • Ensure no empty rows or columns exist between the data mentioned in the CSV file. An empty row or column in between will not allow the system to capture the entire data.

j. If you click on Looks Good, it will populate a Step2: Map Fields section.

k. Map CSV Fields to Hyly Fields under the Essential Fields section. The Hyly fields on the left-hand side should be matched with the corresponding CSV field. For example, Email is a Hyly field that should be matched with the Email Address column of the CSV file.
l. Map the Sub-Status with the Contacts from the column you want in the CSV file.
m. Add some unique Batch names and Tags related to this CSV file so that in case of any failures, you can just find the batch name/tags and revert the upload, or if you need to create a contact group for this import, you can use this batch name/tags.
n. Map the Full Name with the Name Column in the CSV File under Non-Essential Fields. Do a double-check of the mapping between CSV Fields and Hyly Fields. You can ignore all the other fields in case it is not required.
