You may have noticed that some of the emails in your contact list have been marked as unsubscribed in Journey AI CRM. This was done automatically by the Hyly.AI system, which detected that these emails were bouncing.
In this article, we'll explain why Hyly.AI unsubscribes specific email addresses.
Criteria for Hyly.AI to Unsubscribe Email Addresses:
1. Hard Bounce
If an email from Hyly.AI hard bounces from an email address and cannot be delivered, the system marks it as a bad email and unsubscribes it.
2. Soft Bounce
If an email from Hyly.AI soft bounces from an email address twice (as per the bounce threshold), the system checks to see if the recipient has received an email from Hyly.AI in the last 12 months. If an email has been successfully sent to the address in the last 12 months, the email will not be marked as unsubscribed. However, if no email has been sent successfully to the address in the last 12 months, the system marks it as a bad email and unsubscribes it.
Note - The system relies on the open/click activity to know if the email reached the user's mailbox. The system will run the past 12-month check every time the bounce occurs.
