Learn about the Monitored batches feature for the Students category of Journey AI Blasts.
ContextThere are specific communities that specialize in student housing. For these communities, we have created a separate audience group for students so that the properties can send out Blasts to the students without any hassle.
Since the number of students can be in the thousands, it can slow the technical process of sending out the blast. Therefore, we must send the blasts to the students in monitored batches.
Note - The settings can't be customized from the Journey AI platform.
The Monitored Batches
The blasts for students will be sent in monitored batches. The default settings for the monitored batches are as follows:
1. 1st Lead size -10%
Delivery time - +0 hours
2. 2nd Lead size - 30%
Delivery time - +12 hours
3. 3rd Lead Size - 60%
Delivery Time - +24 hours
This means, that if the property agents send a blast to the students' group, 10% of the total students will get the blast on the scheduled date and time. The following 30% of the total students will get the blast after 12 hours of the scheduled time, and the remaining 60% of the total students will get the blast after 24 hours of the scheduled time.
The Threshold
The threshold is the limit for unsubscribes, bounce, and complaints. The blast will be automatically aborted if the threshold limit is reached.
The default threshold for the following are:
- Bounce - 5%
- Unsubscribe - 5%
- Complaint - 0.1% and more than five complaints
This means if 5% of the emails bounce, 5% of the students unsubscribe, or 0.1% of students have reported the email, or more than five complaints are reported for the blast, then the blast will automatically get aborted.
